Retractable Ratchet Strap 4 m and 4.5 m – Automatic Rewind and Faster Load Securing
Secure your load without manually winding up the webbing after every use. This Retractable Ratchet Strap features an automatic rewind mechanism that retracts the strap after release, making everyday handling and storage quicker and more convenient.
Choose between the 4 m 500 kg and 4.5 m 750 kg variants. Both versions feature polyester PES webbing, zinc-plated steel components and plastic-coated steel hooks, and are designed for securing loads during transport in accordance with EN 12195-2:2000.
Key Benefits
- Automatic rewind: retracts the webbing after use, eliminating the need to manually roll up the full length of the strap.
- Quick everyday handling: pull out the required length, attach the hooks, tension the strap and retract it again after use.
- Neater storage: the retractable design keeps the webbing wound into the mechanism when stored.
- Two variants available: choose a 4 m version with LC 500 daN or a 4.5 m version with LC 750 daN.
- Hooked at both ends: designed for attachment to suitable load-securing points.
- Designed for load securing: manufactured in accordance with EN 12195-2:2000.
Applications
The Retractable Ratchet Strap is designed for securing loads during transport. Its retractable construction is particularly practical for applications where the strap needs to be regularly extended, attached, tensioned, released and stored again.
Once the securing job is complete, the automatic rewind mechanism helps retract the webbing into the unit. During retraction, the webbing and hook should be guided by hand as specified in the operating instructions.
When selecting a suitable strap, consider the size, shape and weight of the load, the intended securing method and the required lashing capacity. The attachment points used must also be suitable for the intended load-securing application.
Large or heavy loads may require multiple securing straps. The number and arrangement of straps must always be appropriate for the load and the chosen securing method.

How to Use
Before every use, inspect the webbing, hooks and tensioning mechanism. Make sure the load is stable and that the selected attachment points are suitable for the intended securing operation.
- Press button 1 and slide lever 2 into position A.
- Pull out webbing 4 to the required length.
- Attach the hooks to suitable securing points.
- Make sure the webbing runs straight and is not twisted on the reel.
- Move lever 2 backwards and forwards between positions B and C to tension the webbing.
- Once the required tension has been achieved, move lever 2 into position B.
Before releasing the strap, make sure the load remains stable and cannot fall, tip or move uncontrollably when the securing force is removed.
- Press button 1 and slide lever 2 into position A.
- Press button 3 to activate the automatic rewind mechanism.
- Guide the webbing and hook with your other hand while the strap retracts.
- Do not hold button 3 down continuously during retraction.

Important Information
- This product must not be used for lifting.
- Use the strap only for securing loads.
- Always select a strap with a suitable lashing capacity for the load and securing method.
- Inspect the webbing, stitching, hooks and tensioning mechanism before every use.
- Do not use webbing that is torn, cut, damaged or otherwise compromised.
- Do not use the product if the fittings or tensioning components are deformed, cracked, heavily worn or show significant corrosion.
- Only use the strap when its identification label and markings remain legible.
- Never knot the webbing.
- Do not extend the tensioning device using additional mechanical aids unless they form part of the tensioning system.
- Protect the webbing from sharp edges and rough surfaces with suitable protection where required.
- Hooks must not be loaded on their tips.
- The hook must engage across the full width of its load-bearing surface.
- Make sure the webbing is not twisted when securing the load.
- Never overload the lashing equipment.
- Guide the webbing and hook by hand during automatic retraction.
- The supplied instructions specify the use of protective gloves and safety glasses during automatic retraction.
- Check the tension regularly during use, particularly shortly after starting a journey.
- Check the tension after extended use or exposure to higher temperatures.
- Different types of load-securing equipment should not be used together on the same load where their behaviour and elongation characteristics differ.
- Protect the webbing from chemicals. If use in a chemical environment is required, consult the manufacturer or supplier.
- The specified operating temperature range for PES webbing is -40°C to +120°C.
Spend less time handling loose webbing after the job is done. Choose the 4 m 500 kg or 4.5 m 750 kg Retractable Ratchet Strap to match your load-securing requirements and benefit from convenient automatic rewind after every use.
