How to Use

1. Charge the Bug Zapper

Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the device and a suitable 5 V / 1 A USB power source. A full USB charge takes approximately 4 hours. The digital battery display flashes during charging and shows a steady 100 when fully charged.

For solar charging, position the solar panel in direct sunlight. The red solar indicator shows that charging is in progress, while the green indicator signals a full charge. The device can also operate while charging.

2. Select Your Operating Mode

1. First Press: Activates the UV insect-attracting light and high-voltage electric grid.
2. Second Press: Switches on the LED lighting and turns off the insect-zapping function.
3. Third Press: Activates the insect zapper and LED lighting simultaneously.
4. Fourth Press: Switches off all functions.

3. Position for Effective Insect Control

Place or hang the bug zapper approximately 1 metre above floor level, preferably in a dark environment away from competing light sources. For better insect attraction, switch off nearby lights and keep doors and windows closed where practical.

For bedroom use, the manufacturer recommends switching on the insect-zapping function at least 2 hours before bedtime. The device may attract insects more effectively in an unoccupied room, where human body heat and odour are not competing attractants.

4. Clean the Bug Zapper

1. Switch off the device and disconnect the charging cable.
2. Carefully remove insect remains and debris around the grid using the supplied cleaning brush, without touching the electrical components.
3. Turn the removable insect collection tray to the right to unscrew it.
4. Empty the collected insects and debris into a bin.
5. Refit the tray and turn it to the left to secure it.
6. Wash your hands after cleaning.
