How to Use
Follow these steps to refill a compatible gas lighter. Always work in a well-ventilated area, away from naked flames, sparks and other ignition sources.
- Prepare the lighter: Make sure the lighter is switched off and completely cool before refilling. Keep it away from heat and ignition sources.
- Check compatibility: Locate the refill valve, usually found on the bottom of the lighter. Make sure the gas can nozzle fits the valve correctly. Never force an incompatible connection.
- Position the gas can: Turn the can upside down so the filling nozzle points vertically downwards. Hold the lighter securely with its refill valve facing upwards.
- Connect the nozzle: Align the filling nozzle directly with the lighter's refill valve and insert it carefully.
- Refill the lighter: Press the nozzle into the valve three times, for approximately three seconds each time, provided this is consistent with the lighter manufacturer's instructions. Stop immediately if gas escapes around the connection.
- Allow the gas to settle: Remove the can and wait at least 15 seconds for any released gas to disperse. Follow any longer waiting period specified by the lighter manufacturer.
- Check before lighting: Ensure there is no gas leakage before attempting to ignite the lighter. Never operate the device if you notice a gas smell or leakage.
Important: Always follow the refillable device manufacturer's instructions regarding filling duration, gas quantity and safe operation. Do not overfill.
